Site Updates
enjoy the new video, and if you still feel like hanging around when that is done, i have a beta version of the new photo gallery system up, you can now browse the photos in our archive by Locations; soon you will be able to view galleries, professional galleries, and just generally search the archive. Also there are lots of photos to put up (since they haven't been updated in quite some time) so be on the lookout to that. and as always, your comments are much appreciated to help us develop this gallery system into something you like. you can see it here: Gallery just remember the only one that is working right now it "Locations".
Chalky Dreams Postponed Again
Luckily for Fisher there are going to be two more weeks to train before the Chalky Dreams competition at Moss Rock Preserve. It has been moved to March 11, 2006 per Lee Means' note below:
Looks like we're shooting for March 11.
We'll have a whole month of events in Alabama, hope you all can make it! I've got some really cool prizes: Black Diamond Pads, Mammut Shoes ('haven't even been released to the publice yet), loads of awesome SICKLE clothes (Men and Womes), Rock & Ice subscriptions, Climbing Magazine schwagg and subscriptions, PrAna clothes, and loads more! I meant to say something about this sooner, but completely forgot. Tomorrow, Saturday, February 18, 2006 is the Chalky Dreams Boulder Comp at Moss Rock Preserve in Birmingham. It will be a great time for all, so come out, compete, and take home some swag.
It should also be mentioned that since the weather isn't looking so good for us tomorrow, should it rain, the comp will be rescheduled for Satuday, February 25, 2006. Either way, we hope to see you all there.
My Appologies
I can't believe it went this long, I can't believe that no one noticed, that no one said anything, that everyone was fine with just letting it be. I am referring, of course, to how the site was displaying before on Internet Explorer on a PC, as hopefully those of you who view the site on this platform have noticed upon coming to the site today. I guess i will have to pay more attention to the way the site views on a PC, i was so good about doing it for a while. The only other change to note is to the movie page (which happened to be the page with the most problems before) – i made some adjustments to the search features making it a bit more useable. as always, enjoy. And if you are on a PC and you haven't yet, download firefox!!

One thing that should be mentioned, we have changed the compression we use on the videos, so if you are having trouble viewing them you need to go and download the latest version of Quicktime and that should solve the problem. If you're a big nerd and interested in the new compression we are using you can read about it here (H.264 is what it is called).
Feb 1 Update
hey all, sorry for the lack of updates, but it is that time again, the time where real work comes first and craghead has to take a back seat for a couple of weeks, but that time has passed so stay tuned for some new videos from kirk, and our hueco vids in the coming weeks. It should also be mentioned that there is a large posse headed up to rocktown this weekend so if you are in the area you should definitely stop in!
In the meantime, i have been perusing the craggregator a bit lately and have been reading ben moon's blog and he has been posting a lot lately about his trip to hueco which is an interesting perspective to see, since it is the perspective of a super stong climber making his first trip to hueco. Also, i like that he has trouble getting into the park, like us seeing Boone Speed having to wait at the gate one day.
